This site serves multiple purposes. Most visitors are looking for information about plants they've found while meandering through some part of the Pacific Northwest. Others are looking for photographs to include in a book, magazine article, advertisement, or product. Some are interested in prints for their home or office. Regardless of why you're here, we hope you've found this website to be valuable.

One way to express the value of this site is to make a donation to help support it and the addition of new wildflower photos. You've certainly noticed that there's no advertising here and the only monetization is the few cents we earn if you click one of the Amazon links on the Buy The Books page or when you purchase a book directly from Turner Photographics. Web hosting isn't free, nor are domain registration or programming. It costs real money to travel around the Northwest to photograph the plants. It also takes a significant amount of time to identify those plants, caption the photos, and occasionally update plant names as taxonomists reveal new relationships through DNA research. Most websites similar to this one have the backing of a university or government. This is basically a one-man show.
